VFX, editing & compositing
title sequence animation for Netflix

I worked as a motion designer for Netflix in collaboration with Harkat Studios to animate the title sequence of Guns & Gulaabs, an Indian Hindi-language comedy crime thriller series.

As a VFX artist and Motion Designer, I worked on rotoscoping various elements from scenes from the show, layering and compositing them to align with the envisioned style frames. The process involved close collaboration with the art lead and another motion designer.

Early Storyboards

The early storyboarding stage was crucial in identifying which elements needed to be rotoscoped and isolated for animation. This planning phase allowed us to map out the visual flow and determine how each separated element would contribute to the final composition.

Style Development

The visual style was initially developed in Photoshop, experimenting with photo filters and blending modes to achieve the desired aesthetic. Once the look was finalized, we replicated these techniques in After Effects, translating the static treatments into dynamic motion graphics that maintained the established visual language throughout the sequence.
