Teaching Motion Design

I have taught twice my own self-proposed class about Motion Design at RISD, working with students across graphic design, architecture, industrial design, and illustration to integrate motion as a powerful tool in their practices. My teaching emphasizes transferable principles over software-specific techniques, encouraging students to think like animators—understanding timing, spacing, and movement—before diving into tools, while incorporating diverse cultural perspectives and accessible, open-source technologies.

Education:

MFA in Graphic Design + CTAD certification (collegiate teaching in art and design)
