Samachar is inspired by the masthead of Gujarat Samachar, India's leading Gujarati-language newspaper. This typeface is both a personal homage and a typographic exploration. Samachar reimagines the distinctive style of the masthead, while adapting it for digital use. Currently, the glyph set only has the consonants and the vowels, with plans to expand it to a fully working Gujarati variable typeface.
Aramse in hindi means with ease or comfort. Aramse is a rounded serif typeface available in regular and italics. It is inspired by Whereabours, written by Jhumpa Lahiri, about finding comfort in unexpected places.
Inspired by vintage embroidery instruction books, designed to create ornamental borders.
Patches 9x9 is a variable pixel font with two axes (patch and stitch) where each letter transforms into a 9-square border motif that can be seamlessly strung together, with variations for stitch shapes. Patches 18x18 offers an alternative version with 18x18 patterns, expanding the possibilities for intricate, decorative borders. It was also made into an interative web specimen↗ (which is still being fixed as I learn how to code) where users can generate their own borders by typing in a letter.
