STROKE & SWASH

Stencil + Specimen Sheet, 2024

STROKE & SWASH is a two part stencil set inspired by calligraphic strokes and ornamental swashes. Designed for creating italic letterforms, it follows a two step process, the first stencil establishes a primary letterform, and the second stencil adds flourishes. This tool serves both to construct and deconstruct letterforms, inviting users to explore the art of ornamentation and reinvention.

THE INK BUCKET

Illustration + Design, 2023

I worked as an illustrator and a motion designer for the Ink Bucket, a stationery and lifestyle brand. As the only designer for the brand, I worked closely with the founders to come up with a wide range of designs for their products, primarily working on two main collections the time I worked there- the Ceramic collection and the 2024 Planner Collection

All the designs are painted by the founder of the brand, my job was to come up with designs, color palettes and variations of designs and illustrations that could work within the same collection.

The 2024 Planner Collection

The 2024 planner collection was a set of a dated planner, wall calendar, desk calendar and a bunch of freebies like an organizer and trinket trays. I had to come up with a cohesive design system for all the planner covers and the calendars, and create illustrations for them.

HAMPI

Identity System, 2024

This is an identity system project for the UNESCO World Heritage Site, HAMPI, located in Karnataka, India.  The branding is inspired by the multi-tiered monuments at Hampi, incorporating stacking and layering as a brand element.

FRAMES OF THOUGHT

Publication, 2024

Frames of Thought is a graphic novel that explores El Lissitzky's essays Topology of Typography and Typographical Facts, alongside graphic novels written by female-identifying artists from the last decade.

The publication seeks to experiment with non-structured narrative forms, with graphic novels offering an intuitive approach to type and image relationships. It is hand-drawn, except for images from the referenced comics, featuring an accordion fold, with each essay occupying one side. It references graphic novels written or illustrated by womxn artists, including Persepolis by Marjane Satrapi, Fun Home by Alison Bechdel, and My Favorite Thing is Monsters by Emil Ferris.

THE BIAS OF MEMORY
Editorial Design, 2024
THE BIAS OF MEMORY is a visual response to Friedrich Martens' "Voyage into Spitzberg and Greenland," a 17th-century travelogue documenting an Arctic expedition. I critically examine the travelogue through Hartman's theory of critical fabulation, using translucent vellum to visually deconstruct colonial narratives. The project employs feminist methodologies to reimagine silenced perspectives within historical documentation.

COSMOPOP 2024

Identity System, 2024

COSMOPOP 2024 is a  music festival identity for a psychedelic pop festival. Focusing primarily on type and type treatments, the identity uses a mix of serif and sans serif typefaces to create a contemporary yet a wordmark reminiscent of the psychedelic pop music scene in the 80s. The gradients are inspired by the saturated colours that are iconic for what's considered the golden era of psychedelics.
